The history of  ... The private wine cellar management has been created by friends of wines and professional computer programmers and has continually improved with the help of many testers. In 1998, several hundreds friends of wine gave information about their wine cellar in a questionnaire and made invaluable suggestions
on how a computer-based wine cellar management should look like. We have tried hard to take the many customer suggestions into account. Many of those who provided useful feedback right from the beginning still accompany the development of WinWein as beta-testers. - 2003: Opening of the english Internet site www.winwein.com and
Release 5.5 comes out as the first english version. - 2002: Release 5.00 comes out revised with many interesting innovations.
- 2001: Release 4.14 and 4.50 come out with many improvements.
- 1999-2000: WinWein 2000 "de Pays" Release 4.12 is available for download.
- 1998-1999: Questionnaire (approximately 3000 participants) and two beta test phases.
- 1998: Opening of the german Internet site www.winwein.de (followed by winwein.at).
- 1997-1998: 95/98 includes the option to import additional information from the "little electronic Johnson".
- 1996: V1.1 (first public version)

When our Internet site went on-line in 1998, it became possible to get in touch with many friends of wine very easily. As we did not want to base our improvements for the new version on our personal experiences,
ideas, and wishes about real wine cellar management alone, we decided to make use of this special contact! |
